    Domaine des Épioux

    Across the bridge: 1,721 hectares between Chiny and Herbeumont, nearly 1,500 of them forest, with ponds once dug for the ironworks. The château, built in 1650 for the ironmasters, was home to Pierre-Napoléon Bonaparte, nephew of Napoleon I, from 1862 to 1871. A protected site since 1997.

Looking for a bridge in Herbeumont or Bouillon?

The Himalayan bridge covered on this website is in Sainte-Cécile, in the municipality of Florenville: it is neither in Herbeumont nor in Bouillon. The Épioux estate, on the far side of the bridge, lies between Chiny and Herbeumont, and the car park is on the Route d’Herbeumont.
